Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah is a remarkable individual. More than a cyclist, Emmanuel, still early in his young life, has truly
accomplished great things. He was born in Ghana, with a severely deformed right leg. Ghana is not known for its special
services for the physically challenged. In fact, such a deformity would typically restrict such an individual to street begging
to make ends meet. Emmanuel, however, would have none of this.
Refusing to beg, he was determined to prove his worth as an able bodied citizen by riding a bicycle (donated by the Challenged
Athletes Foundation) 379 miles across Ghana using only his left leg to propel himself.
Since then, he has graciously and tirelessly worked to increase awareness and affect change, to ensure the disabled
population of Ghana are given opportunities and considered as equals within society.
